What is the Most Efficient Way to Price Out Items?
Select a line item from the Contents List to open the Item Details page. On the top right of the page, click “Non-Valued”. Then scroll down the page until a blue banner appears across the top of the screen to activate Rapid Pricing mode. When Non-Valued is toggled on and Rapid Pricing mode is activated, the next line item’s search results are automatically loaded when you mark an item for replacement.
Where are the web Comparable Items Sourced From?
Streamline uses the policyholder’s zip code and live search to produce real-time market price results.
How is Sale Price, as Compared to Regular MSRP, Handled in Pricing Search Results?
Streamline’s goal is to provide replacement prices that are accurate and consistent based on the policyholder’s geographical location. We strive not to include “sale price” in our web comparable search results. You will find the full price for items, regardless of if they are on sale.
How do I Create a Replacement Item Manually?
While you should easily find comparable listings in the web comparable search results, there may be instances where you need to manually create a replacement item. For those situations, select “build a custom comparable” found at the top right of the Replacement box. Fill out the required fields and click “Mark as Replacement”. This is great for when the policyholder has provided their own replacement sources.
How do I get Better Search Results?
- Check the description for spelling mistakes
- For very detailed descriptions, try leaving out some specifics to get more results.
- Use the price range filters to narrow down results.
- To search from a specific store—like Amazon, Best Buy, or Walmart—just pick the vendor from the drop-down menu.
- Search from a specific vendor, like Google Shopping, Best Buy, Walmart, Home Depot, and Target, by selecting from the drop-down menu.
How is Depreciation Calculated? How are Life Expectancies Determined?
Each replaced item has a Settlement Summary. There you can find the depreciation specifications and maximum depreciation based on the item’s Category and Sub-category.
Streamline uses AI to categorize line items. You can change the categorization in the Item Details section or in the Rapid Pricing mode banner.
The recommended annual depreciation is calculated using the item’s average life expectancy. The average life expectancy is based on the industry standard “Joint Military Depreciation Guide (JMIDG).”
Why Isn’t Depreciation Calculating on my Line Items?
- Leave the first example in the Excel/CSV document
- Number the line items before uploading
- Do not start the Item Description with a special character (- + / ” ’, etc)
- Years/Months must be whole numbers; Months will only go up to 11
Post-Loss Inventory Tips:
Some items are not depreciated according to the Category > Subcategory. You can check an item’s suggested depreciation in the Item Detail’s Settlement Summary section.
